Hi,
It may be that the Malware infection you had has corrupter the operating system and this is why you are having these problems. The easiest solution may be to do a fresh installation of the operating system as this will probably solve these issues.
Do you have a set of Recovery Discs?
If not, click the Start Menu, click Computer - Do you see a Recovery D drive shown?
Let me know the above and remember to back up all your personal files etc otherwise you will lose these when reinstalling Windows.

Hi,
Do you have any personal files you need to keep? If you do, you can copy them to blank CDs/DVDs or USB sticks.

Hi,
You don't need ( or want ) to erase anything, just let me know when you have backed-up your personal files.

Hi,
First shutdown the notebook.
Next, tap away at f11 as soon as you press the power button to access Recovery Manager. Select System Recovery and click Next. If you are asked if you want to use Microsoft System Restore, click No, then click Next.
When you are prompted to Backup your files choose No, then click Next - you may have to click No again - then click Next to start the Recovery Process which can take an hour or more.

Hi,
No problem.
This process will reinstall the operating system to the condition the notebook was in when you bought it.
