My Compaq 6735b keeps black screening and shutting down on me while I just use the internet or play World of Warcraft. This has happened over 20 times in the past 3 days, so if anybody can help me fix this problem, that would be greatly appreciated.
This is a new (although refurbished) laptop, and it even crashed on me while I typed out this post with NO other programs up.

Hi,
Tap away at f10 as soon as you start your notebook to enter the bios menu. Under the Advanced or Diagnostic tabs you should see the facility to run tests on the Hard Drive and Memory. Run both these tests and post back with the results.

It could be the graphics chip has become desoldered to to high heat of the nvidia chip if so equipped.
This seems to be a common complaint I've read on the DV6000 and other laptops from hp as well.
If the computer gets a blank screen this could be it.
I am trying to get my 6735b up and running again by changing the motherboard for $115 from getcomputerparts.com. I have yet to solve the problem with mine, though.
