DV4-1155se Laptop

My laptop recently suffered a tragic malfunction. One morning I attempted to start it up and it doesnt, I press the power button (with battery and AC cord attached, and only AC cord attached) the lights come on and the fan starts like it is about to turn on, but the fan shuts down after about 2.5 seconds and the screen stays black throughout. Any suggestions or advice will help!

I had a similar experience, bad mother board.  Apparently a number of problems, see http://www.nvidiasettlement.com/index.html for more info.

Re: DV4-1155se Laptop

Try doing a Hard Reset. You can do this by removing the battery and unplugging the AC Adapter. Then press and hold the power button on the laptop for about 30 seconds, then put the battery back in and plug in the AC Adapter and try turning it on again.
