Hello,
I just performed a system restore on the above machine. The system boots up to the desktop screen and then locks up (no mouse input allowed, no cursor movement allowed). I am wondering if there is any operation I can perform to unfreeze the desktop screen and allow for mouse/cursor operation. I know I can pereform system restore again but this was a safe mode restore and the options are limited. This machine was infected with a virus and the virus removal steps were shaky at best. Worse case I just want to boot the system to obtain the user files prior to a reinstall. Any suggestions are appreciated!
