G62 screen went off during use and now unable to start Notebook

Hi,

My son has a HP G62-a30SA Notebook PC, running Windows 7.  Whilst using the Notebook the other night the screen suddenly went off.  The Power Light was still on and the fan continued to run.  He switched it off, using the Power Button and now he is unable to get the Notebook to work.

When the Power Button is pressed, the Fan starts to run for a short period and the Wireless indicator is amber.  Nothing is displayed on the screen, no startup messages, nothing.  There is no hard drive activity, the light on the side of the Notebook does not flicker at all.

I have removed the battery and tried the Reset Operation by holding down the Power button and then connecting using the AC Adaptor.  This makes no difference.

I have had to replace some months ago the Fan which stopped working, and the screen which my son cracked when he tripped going upstairs with the Notebook open.

Has anyone any suggestions?

Hello,

                 Please goto the following link:

 Wish you luck!
