I'm finally frustrated enough to find a forum to ask for help. Computer is about a year old and recently has started to crash at random times. Goes from beautiful color screen, seems to lug down, and screen turns to diagonal gray lines. It seems like it was a blue screen one or two times. The only thing I've been able to do is force shutdown and restart.
I have backed up all my files, done some disk defrag and cleanups, but no improvement. I've also done the restart, f11 and done a disc recovery from about two months ago, but no apparent connection to the diagonal screen issue.
Any ideas? Please help!

that usually occurs, when your GPU is reaching its breaking point, it will eventually fail at some point down the road. I suggest you try cleaning out your vents on your laptop with a can of compressed air.
May i ask what the model number of your laptop is?
