Hi I have an HP dv7-426nr I7.
I bought it about 6 months ago and I just started getting high temperatures, it used to sit at around 52 - 55 idle when I bought now it's around 65-68 Celsius.
I've gotten 2 thermal shutdowns in the past 3 days while playing relatively old games like BF2. Speedfan tells me that the max temps were : Graphics card 97, Core1: 98, Core 2: 97 Core 3: 98 Core 4 :98
I also get the same temperatures whether i play it on low/med or high settings, is there an explanation for this?
What can I do?

Download and install AMD Overdrive. Your chipset might be able to let you increase the fan speed , otherwise the cooling vents or heat sink fins might be blocked with dust. I don't like the feet on these notebooks being so thin, this can cause the fan to pick up lint and dust and cause havoc with the cooling.
