HP DV8 freezes after audio driver installed

I have a HP DV8T and have been haveing the treble/bass  issue that so many have talked about. Anyway, I was looking at drivers on the HP site & installed an audio driver (Not sure what update) The computer restarted after this, I entered password and it goes to the desktop menu/screen and freezes. Can't do anything from there.

 

Any info or help would be great, Thanks.
