My previous bios version was f.13 then i updated it to f.20 from its official drivers page. Then my computer booted and took 6 minutes to boot. I got afraid. Then i tried to install previous version of bios but it said we cannot install old bios. Then i restarted many times but nothing happened. Then i reset all defaults of bios but i got no speed. Then i installed windows 7 ultimate via original cd after sanitizing hard disk from bios. After installation i did windows update. All QFEs and updated drivers were downloaded and installed successfully but i got no improvement in speed. Type is set to AHCI as its fast then IDE. when i reboot every time boot takes upto 3 to 5 minutes then a black screen appears for 30sec and windows continues to start after that it takes 2 minutes to decrease load on HDD. Then i am able to use computer. I defragged and checked for errors but everything was ok. HDD performance in windows experience index fell from 5.2 to 3.7 .I unplugged HDD then reconnected it but no effect. its frustating PLZ Help me out
HDD MODEL : Toshiba mk1229gsg
Mode : Changed from IDE to AHCI and got 0.1 more rated on windows experience index
Maybe the problem is bios incompatability with hard disk
PLZ solve asap
