HP Folio 13 docking problems

I have problems with a HP Folio 13 when i connect it to a HP 2.0 USB docking station running on Windows 7 64bit.

When the computer is plugged into the docking station it refuses to start up, so i have to unplug the docking station to start the computer, then i can plug in the docking station when windows 7 is fully booted and loaded inn. If i start it up with docking plugged inn, everything stops on windows 7 loading screen.

I have tried to reinstall the driver that came with the docking station without results, i have also tried to update the driver for the docking without any luck.

Quite often when im working on the computer with the docking plugged in the computer my external screen freezes.

One solution to that witch works most of the times is to close the laptop cover and open it again, then i can work on without problems but sometimes i even have to turn of the computer to have the external screen working again.

Hope to get some useful answer on this one.

I have exactly the same issue with my Folio. Connected to an external screen using the HP USB 2.0 dock but the screens constantly freezes.

It appears HP have thought more about quick launch to market than getting the correct proposition for the user.

This is a commercial box but with no working dock........................seems more consumer than commercial!

Any help regarding a fix for dock issue would be appreciated.

I dont have the computer at my location as i work for a company that sells, supports and mainentain computers for other companies.

Is there any way that you can help me regarding this problem without me having the computer for my disposal?

After an online chat with HP Support, we confirmed the issue was not the dock.  I am using a Toshiba Dynadock U.  I contacted Toshiba and, after downloading and installing the most current drivers as well as changing a setting in ie9 internet options (Advanced, Accelerated Graphics, checked-Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering) the problem was resolved.
