HP HDX X18-1180CA + Western Digital My Passport Elite

Hi there,

 

I recently bought a WD My Passport Elite and noticed that the X18-1180CA laptop will not boot Windows 7 from the primary internal hard drive when the My Passport is plugged into the USB during power up.

 

If I unplug the My Passport from USB, then it boots up from the internal hard drive just fine.

 

I checked the BIOS boot sequence already and the USB drive is last on the boot sequence...

 

Any other suggestions?

Is there a BIOS setting to diable booting from USB all together?  Or a BIOS update that is available?
