HP Mini 110-3500 Recovery Manager wont start

Hi,

I recently purchased a HP Mini 110-3500 laptop and I launched the "Recovery Media Creation" application which run ok but didn't have a memory stick available to create the recovery media.

Later the laptop did the usual windows updates and failed a couple of times when applying the Windows 7 SP1. After 4-5 attempts it finally worked. Now I am trying to launch the Recovery Media Creation application but it just crashes and nothing happens. The same happens with Recovery Manager and even when trying to launch in safe mode.

I noticed the following in the Event viewer every time I try to launch the Recovery Media Creation
