HP-Pavillion dv7-1285dx-No bootable disk-insert boot disk and press any key.

I get the subject message and I have no boot disk since the conputer came with the software installed. I downloaded the latest BIOS driver and it has not made any difference. Anyone with a solution? I also checked for viruses and other malware with both Norton 360 and Ccleaner. Thank you for your help.
