I have a notebook Pavilion g6 1209 AX running on a Windows 7 Home basic 64-bit OS. I had mistakenly uninstalled a software "HP Setup" through a third party software called "Revo Uninstaller". Now, I find my HP Product assistant in my task bar missing. My OS has become too slow as a result. Please help.

Try doing a System restore. Click start-Control Panel-System Security. Under Action Center click "restore your computer to an earlier time. If there is an available restore point on the date when you accidentaly deleted your program choose it. If not (or if the system restore on the exact date does not work) choose a restore point nearest but before that date and do your system restore. This should restore your settings to that date but would remove any programs and updates installed after the restore point selected

If you are using the pro version of revo uninstaller, their website FAQ says there is a way to undo the uninstalation. http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_fr
If not... well you have learned your lesson. System Restore is one of the most important features of Windows7 and I will not disable it.
If you have backed up your system and files with a mirror image you can use that to restore. I am not a techie but if I were in your position, my last resort is to save my files on a removable media and do a fresh reinstall with my recovery disk to restore my laptop to factory settings.
