hello guys
for what it matters, i will use the closing lid trick, this is a bug nice and solid. so today again the brightness didnt work when i resumed from hybernation.
yesterday i have already reinstalled the graphics drivers (for the intel HD3000 card) by downloading them off intel website, it was a slightly different version from the ones present in the HP's download section.
how do we submit a bug report to HP? or can someone do it? the bug is in the HP OSD, clearly.

i called hp support tech like (thanks god skype worked for that) and the lady said that since i bought from PC world, they are responsible for the support of the computer and if i wanted to talk about a problem with them direct then i have to pay. really not nice..
in other words, i thought that buying an HP product i would have a fantastic international warranty, with brands such as dell and so on, but no! is only in UK so lets say if i move country next year then i will still have to go through PC world in the UK and ship the pc there....amazing..
something else MORE alarming....
Pc world... bought the pc there, they asked me if i wanted their monthly warranty, i said no...but their sales agent what he did?? he put a discount for the first month of 9£ and then i found out just the other day that there was a recurring 9£ charge for the monthly support! when i specifically said i didnt want it....amazing..
went to the store, they were not that helpful and claimed that i should have checked the receipt...sure i should have but how lame is that??? unbelievable..
guys be careful next time you buy a PC from Pc world / currys!!!!
i still love this HP computer though
