Hp envy l 17-1011nr notebook pc freezing constantly with using the wireless internet

I am having the same problem as many other envy users but unlike the people that have the newer models, a bios fix was not sent for my specific model. I freeze whenever I activate my wireless internet and I recently just froze while using ethernet. I updated my bios for the model, java, adobe, video card drivers, and norton; furthermore, the intel driver fix cannot work for this model because I do not have that specific wireless card. I currently have Broadcom 43224 AG 802.11a/b/gdraft-n Wi-Fi Adapter. 

I am sure it is the wi-fi because immediately when I re-enabled my wi-fi connection, after 2 days on ethernet with only one crash, I crashed. I then turned the computer back on and crashed within one minute so the next time I just hit my disable wi-fi/bluetooth button on my keyboard as soon as the computer launched. 

Any help would be appreciated.
