Hp pavilion dv7 keyboard frozen

I have a notebook pavilion dv7 with windows 7. My problem is that neither the touch pad nor the keyboard are responding to any stimulus past boot up. This includes the volume and wireless keys. When it asks whether it should start in safe mode or not, the keys work fine. What is wrong with my computer?

Hi

You have a couple of options as I see it.

1) Select Safe mode load to windows do a System Restore to the date where unit was working fine. if this does not work.

2) Using the same safe mode option go to Device Manager and uninstall the Keyboard & Tochpad driver and check.

3) Please update the Bios from HP website.

4) All of the above option does not wor the run a Recovery please take a back of your data before you could do this as all data will be lost.
