Laptop battery not charging but laptop works with power adaptor..whats wrong

No, Not the computer, It is the battery, I borrowed a battery that fits my laptop and that started to charge with no problems, I put my old battery back in and nothing happened , 8% full not charging, deff the battery

Well with my laptop whenever I would take out the battery (before the problem occurred) and had the AC power plugged in it would still go, now with the battery out and AC in nothing happens. I hope that somehow the battery is the problem, I dont want to buy another laptop...

Are you saying with the AC plugged in the laptop does not work?

Are you sure the Adaptor is not faulty!!!!!!  A few years ago my adaptor packed up and had to get a new one.  Do you know anyone with the same laptop as you!! try swapping the batteriees and adaptors!!!  Which country are u in!

I just bought a new adaptor and it worked fine with the computer till it got to 66% then it dies on me. I don't believe it's the adaptor or the battery. I'm gonna have to take it into somewhere.

 Laptop batteries are same as rechargeable batteries for small items like toys camcorder, ect.... they can only be recharged a certain number of times before they have to be replaced... I think you have about a couple of months usaga of the battery.. I could be wrong.. but to be safe get a replacement as soon as you can. Does your battery icon sat Plugged in Not charging?  If so then the battery is not taking on any charging by the laptop AC adapter. {content removed: advertisement}

I spent $200 for Alt. but they can not fix it. I try this and it works perfect for now. You must have some power left in the battery to do this. DP-K, you are my man! Thank you.

The first time I follow your instructions and it works perfect. This week I have to unplug AC Adaptor to go somewhere and before I unplug I didn't shut down the laptop. When I plug the AC Adaptor back, and the battery red light blinking again and battery is not charging. I try follow your instructions many times and it doesn't work this time. You have any idea? Thanks  DP-K.
