Mini 210.1155DX slows down when charging

Hi all,

I have an 18 month old Mini 210.1155DX. It had been running fine until recently when it slowed down incredibly, it has come to the point where I can't use it when it's charging as it slows down and freezes so much. Usually when it's running just on battery it's ok, but sometimes there are issues with Skype etc, with voices sounding robotic as it runs so slowly.

I have taken it to different IT techs and they are all baffled. I hope someone can help!

Re: Mini 210.1155DX slows down when charging

Hello, to start things off what are your power options set to? If you look under control panel, power options and check to see if it is set to high performance. Also, I have included a link to documentation that may be useful.

Re: Mini 210.1155DX slows down when charging

Hi, thank you for your help, I have now changed it to high performance, it was on power saver.

I will run the assistant and see if that changes anything, I regularly perform virus checks and clean ups and there's been nothing but I'll see if there's something I've missed and get back to you!

Re: Mini 210.1155DX slows down when charging

Hi, for some reason I can't install the support assistant, I keep getting a fatal error message, code 1306 I think. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Re: Mini 210.1155DX slows down when charging

Try removing/uninstalling the Active Support library. Do this by installing the given software and once installation completes and runs reboot the computer and download the latest version of the support assistant

Re: Mini 210.1155DX slows down when charging

Since I put it on high performance it's running incredibly! Thank you so much. If only I'd realised it was so simple before, I could have saved myself a lot of stress. I have also managed to download the support assistant.

Something else has just happened though which maybe you can help with - I have no sound on the internet when streaming etc. The control panel settings are fine, so I'm not sure what's up.

Many thanks for your help!
