My notebook keeps freezing

Hi, I have a pavilion g4 and it comes on normally , but then it starts running super slow and then finally freezes can I reboot it to make it run successfully again? And if so what can I do to reboot it?

For Windows 7, at least, there is a wealth of information right on your computer about this subject and ways in which you can deal with the issue of system performance:

To see your computer's help files on how to do this:

Click Start > search / type "help and support" > Click on program "Help and Support" to open Help

There are two main subjects I want you to check to start:

In the Help search bar, type:

performance

and, later

disk errors

• From the list that comes back, you can select a main subject.

For example, for performance, the list will include the subject:

1. Optimize Windows 7 for for better performance

The list for disk errors will include:

1. Check a drive for disk errors

Each subject has instructions within to show you how to manage some part of your system's operation to either help it perform better or to make sure it is operating smoothly and efficiently.

I hope this helps.  It will at the least give you some tools to get started in understanding what might be happening to your computer when it is not doing what you expect.
