My laptop is just days short of 2 years old. When it last hibernated, it completely shut down.
Now no power seems to be getting to the lap top. The LED is lit at the AC adaptor port but no other LED's will light up.
I have tried unplugging and holding the power button, 30 secs to 3 mins and then putting back on AC power and attempting to start to no avail.
All updates had been regulary done, it is used on a desk top with a chill mat, and has virus, malware software.
Any ideas, it is obviously out of warranty

Try the same process again remove battery, AC adapter and holding the power button, 30 secs. and check if you are getting hp logo screen, or any caps lock/num light is blinking.

I don't know anyone in the area as we just moved here so I am at the point I will take the laptop to Best Buy and let them have a look at it. I am hoping a wire or something but dreading it's the mother board
