Hi,
I did a bios upate without any issues, booting from USB and folowing the instructions.
But when I was trying to reboot the machine nothing happened.
The notebook turns on and off in one second. After a few second tuns on and off, etc, etc.
I've read at this board to hold the arrow keys and turn on the machine with USB flash drive.
Now the capslock is blinking and wireless key is on.
I did wait for afew minutes, but still the same blinking capslock.
Are there any tips that I can try. This laptop is one year old and out of warranty ![]()
Regards, Jobertus

Unfortunately the new bios doens't work at all.
Only the power led is blinking. Cannot turn the machine on.
Any ideas?
Can someone tell me what kind of bios chip is installed?
I know it is a SOIC-8, but there a several types.
I’m looking for a programmer so I can flash it by myself.

Same story happend to me about 2 days ago, i've flashed my 4720s with the official tool from HP's website and now my laptop won't turn on, just blinking, also out of warranty, after doing some research i found this item on ebay.
Seller says the BIOS chip comes with the latest version already installed. I'm gonna go with the reprograming chip, someone specialized on this, do not let everyone to take apart your laptop, it might do more harm than good.
I've also tried the arrow's combo, without succes...
HP needs to come up with a proper tool to repair this problem, how can they put damaged firmwares on their website ?!
