Thanks for sharing, azmo. In truth, the problem started just after I did some firmware upgrades, including BIOS update. I can't remember which version I "upgraded" to, but it was in May or June.
If this doesn't work, I have my money on insuffcient PSU.
Oh, and BTW, I tried GTA: Vice City the other day. It can run for ~45 minutes, before crashing.

Under heavy stress conditions the crapbox shutdown again... I was using F.07 BIOS version. Now I'm going to downgrade to F.04 and see what happens... will let you know.

Setting "Maximum processor state" to 99% seems to work for me. This downclocks the CPU a few MHz, and also disables Turbo Boost.
Seems like Turbo Boost is at least part of the problem.

Control Panel -> Power Options -> Change Plan Settings -> Change advanced power settings -> Processor power management -> Maximum processor state -> set to 99%

Can anybody confirm that downclocking the CPU resolves this issue?
Yo! Actually I'm running F.04 BIOS version... the crapbox still shutdown but it happens occasionally (happened 2 times in a week). Obviously that didn't solved the problem but at least I can play for some hours without shutdown... but it could happen suddenly... it seems it definetely doesn't depend on temperature... yesterday I played for several hours without shutdown, cpu and gpu were quite hot.
