Random Rebooting and Screen Freezes

I have the the HP Pavilion g7-1326dx Notebook PC , Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) .

I bought this laptop a couple weeks ago from a Best Buy store for $449.

The PC randomly reboots sometimes and that screen comes up saying windows was not shutdown properly and asks me how i would like to start up again ( safe mode or normally ) . Even when its charging it happened.

The other problem is that i was playing a windows game on my PC and the screen randomly freezes and some areas of my screen turn different colors some spots flash. ( red blue etc ) Theres some lines too when it happens. I thought it may be the PC cant handle the game so i stopped playing it and uninstalled everything to do with it from my PC.

Even though i did that i was on facebook playing a simple game and the screen froze.  It started with the colors and flashing.

So those are the only two issues i am having here. any advice on what to do is greatly appreciated.

Thanks :smileyhappy:

Hello,

Open up your Hp Support Assistant and check for updates. All of what you are describing points to a simple Graphics update.

Ps, the Radeon HD 6520G isn't that bad of a GPU card, and it shouldn't be giving you grief over these simple games you are playing. Seriously, this GPU card should be able to play Crysis, which is a very demanding game that a lot of other laptops simply can't play! Please goto the following site to learn more about your laptop's mid-ranged GPU and what games it can play:

Also, the AMD Quad-Core A6-3420M Accelerated Processor is in the upper middle bracket for mid-ranged CPUs, it should be rocking anything that is thrown at it! Please click the following link to learn more:

If your need more help, just ask, okay?

I mean, all in all, you have a nice laptop with good specs!:
