TouchPad Help

Hello I have a Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX.

My touchpad was working just fine until yesterday when i got home i noticed i accidently left the laptop on and running.

Now my touchpad isnt functioning as before:

It'll move on its own, it jumps around when in use, it freezes at times, or itll only move vertically without allowing me to click or double-click anything.

seeing how im the only one who lives here i know it wasnt dropped or had anything dropped on it.

Im not sure what to do or whats needed but if anyone can help itll be awesome.

Thanks

Re: TouchPad Help

okay don't worry. I will try to help to resolve the problem.

There are few steps to resolve the issue:

step-1: Uninstall the installed driver from control pannel and reinstall the driver by the following the link:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-75458-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...

Step-2: Update the bios from the following link :

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-76825-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...

Step-3:  If all of the above are not working then  try to restore the system to earlier time on which your notebook is wroking fine. Also you can take help from the following link:
