My HP G62x - 400 (windows 7) unexpectedly freezes with a sound loop and needs to be restarted. There is no error message, it seems to happen when running youtube videos or pandora radio. I have uninstalled and installed flash player....I've heard it may be a problem with the graphics card?

It may very well be. Try installing the latest graphics card drivers from HP's support site (32 bit OS, or 64 bit OS, depending on your configuration). This will rule out any software caused trouble. I would also try blowing the dust out of the fan using canned air. This should help keep the graphics chip cooler. A hardware defect may require reflowing or replacing the main board. I suggest a specialized repair shop for that option. -Al2

Do you mean using the Ultimate Boot Cd? If I use that like they say, will it delete all of my documents?
Thanks ![]()

The ultimate boot CD can be run to diagnose your hardware. My hard drive had bad sectors and was causing my freeze.
I recommend that you always backup your documents and maintain the ability to reinstall to the original OS condition.
When I fixed my bad sectors - I did have to reinstall some stuff I had previously installed. So I do recommend backing up your data just in case.
