hp pavillion dv6-1275la windows 7 64 bit
Why does the red light go on on my mouse pad and how do I get it off (to return to the white light)?

Hi,
There should be a button just above the TouchPad that turns it On/Off - see the description on the link below.
Does this work correctly?

Thanks. But my touchpad is not so set up. There is an outline of a buttom on the top left, But I don't have 1, 4, 5, and I think it is 4 that you want me to click. jea63

Hi,
Does your TouchPad look like This?
If it does, it should toggle On/Off by double-tapping the top left corner of the pad ( where the Led is ).
Does this work correctly?
