my hp pavilion dv7-4278nr is a lemon

I have been dealing with blue screen crashes for a few months now with no fix in sight so when I finally restored it at the advice of a IT guy I ended up getting an error when im trying to boot. Now it says Bootmgr is missing. I have the hp recovery disks which I used to restore my computer but I'm stuck now.

Try reseating the hard drive to be sure it is plugged in securely. Enter BIOS by tapping away at the F11 key immediatley after powering on the laptop. Tap the F5 key(usually) to reset to Default settings then Save & Exit.

Create a Windows 7 boot cd from the download link below and get ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD

Windows 7 64bit

Boot from the cd and choose Repair. You may have to run it 2-3 times. Or choose Command Prompt and type bootrec /fixboot .Notice the space after bootrec .Hit Enter after typing it.
