I'm using the Laptop Hp Pavillion dv6-6105tx, (Win7) purchased from Singapore in 2011. For the last couple of days I'm feeling that my laptop has become slow. It is responding 3/5seconds slower than before (even after restoring the original factory settings from the recovery drive). Sometimes it also happens that some programs stop working. Also while running the Memory Test in the startup System Diagnostics, after 27% it shows the error: "Memory test Failed; Failure ID: OLJCXF-5LC64P-MFH15G-405903; Memory Module". It is to be noted that I have 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD, 1GB Graphics Card. What is the possible solution to make my Laptop as a new one? Please anyone help me.

Hi,
The error code will relate to a hardware failure of one of the memory modules, but I would suggest trying the following procedure not only to identify the module that needs to be replaced, but also as a check that the fault is not with the slot the module occupies.
With reference to the link below, remove one of your memory modules and then run the memory test again. If it passes, test the same module, but in the other slot. If this also passes, remove the module and test the other one in both slots.
What you want at the end of the day, is one module that passes the memory test in both slots and one that fails in both slots.
If this is the case, then it's simply a matter of replacing the defective module and you should be good as new.
The procedure for removing these modules is detailed starting on Page 66 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.
Regards,
DP-K
