when powering laptop it sometimes gets stuck at starting windows

a few times when powering laptop >hp pavilion g series 1368dx<> windows 7 64 bit<  at the starting windows it sticks and the windows logo does not show and it just stays so i tried a startup repair and did a system restore .. but about 4 days later it did that again twice in 1 day i ran the windows repair and the windows file gauge was stuck so i powered down and did the repair option again it couldnt fix automatically ..now this all started after the bios update .. and yes i had the hp support assistant dl and install it automatically .the bio update was about 3-4 days after i bought this laptop( i dont know if it was becauase of the bios update anything is possible since it (starting windows) keeps locking up everytime i cold boot ..any help would greatly be appreciated...

Hello,

 

 

 This sounds as if it could be a hardware failure issue on your new hp pavilion g series 1368dx laptop, perhaps a motherboard issue, which can't be resolved by any updates. You should contact Hp immediately.

thanks for the quick response to my issue .. though it could be a mobo issue ..i removed the mini usb hub(4 port) i had connected to the usb port on laptop ..powered down waited a few minutes cold booted and the starting windows logo appeared and loaded fine .. i plugged in the laptop mouse and the cooling pad on the laptop usb ports did all the things that i normally did when i had the issue and windows loaded normally ..could be just a fluke i ran the laptop with and without ac power and played around with the power settings the same i had done before issue  ..but i'm going to keep the laptop the way i have it setup for now and see if the problem comes back in a day or 2 ..as it could be intermittent..i will reply in a few days with another update to this issue ..but i would like if anyone has any other thoughts on this problem and let me know thanks. :smileyhappy:

after sometime now the laptop is working loading the way it should thus far ..no lockups ..will post if any changes on the negative side thanks
