I am having the same problem with my HP Pavilion dv7. When I turn on the computer it asks for "administrator password or power on password." When I enter three incorrect passwords it gives me "disable code 55041017." If possible will you please provide me with the override code to bypass this problem? Thank you very much.

I'm having this issue and after 3 times of entering the wrong code I get this ....66970784.
I tried using it but didn't work on my HP pavilion g4-2149se. Can you help?
