I don't know what I did to this Computer
But you by chance would know how to get
To the HP support screen on this computer if possible.? All it does is turn on and off it saids HP then turns off again I have to press the F10 button to get to the set up utility screen. But that's all it does.

Hi,

Try the following.

Shutdown the notebook.

Unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.

Plug in the AC Adapter ( leave the battery out for the moment ).

Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f2 to and see if this will access the Diagnostic menu - if it does, run the hard drive tests and post back with the results.

After following your instructions As I'm tapping away at the escape key..
A message screen pops up that says..

The cmos check sum is invalid

The cmos will be reset to the default configuration and will be rebooted please check your bios setup options to see if they change.
Cmos reset (502)
Enter- reboot the system
For more information please visit: www.HP.com/go/teach center/startup.

(That's it then does the same thing again.)
HP on and off unless I hit the escape key like you said after the disconnect or I hit the F10 to get to the insydeH20 setup utility

Hi,

Quite often, the spontaneous appearance of a power on password can indicate a problem with the storage drive, however your machine has this is integrated on the system board so it's not possible to remove.

I've just realised that your machine also has a sealed battery, so you could try the following hard reset procedure.

Shutdown the notebook and unplug the AC Aapter.

Hold down the power button continuously for 30 seconds.

Plug in the AC Aapter. Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f5, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.

If this has no effect and if your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have it repaired - If needed, you can check your warranty status Here.

If you live in the US, contact HP Here.

If you are in another part of the world, start Here.

If you're no longer under warranty, my best advice would be to take it to a local computer repair shop and see if they can diagnose the problem and give you an estimate for the cost of repair.

Regards,
