HP 250 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently had to completely format my notebook for work purposes.

This lead me to needing to reinstall multiple OS's, including the one that was previously installed on it.

In my haste to get the machine set up at the client's facility, I chose to rather use a generic product key in order to get Window's setup promptly, with the intention of recovering to my initial OS's credentials.

However, I cannot seem to find the key anywhere, and am unable to open it up, due to warranty conflicts.

Is there any way around this?

As I would like to activate the Windows 10 Pro license key I already had.

Thank you for any responses

Hi,

The key is in the BIOS of your machine, please use the following tool to get it:

   http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

When run this tool, it produces a report, scroll down to Software Management section. Windows 8, 8.1 or 10  product key is in there.

You can also use the following tool to find out:
