HP 250 G5 notebook
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I am missing a driver for a HP 250 G5 notebook (Pentium N3710) - Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface for Windows 7 32 bit.

This device appears as PCI Encryption/Decryption contoller when the driver is missing.

On the download page for Windows 10 64 bit there is a driver - 2.0.0.1094 Rev.A(15 Apr 2016), but there is no such driver for Windows 7.

I tried a number of Windows 7 32 bit TXE drivers, however none of them works.

I managed to find all the other drivers (most of the drivers on the download page listed as Windows 7 x64 work), this is the only question mark in Device Manager and it's driving me nuts 🙂

Currently I cannot provide the Hardware ID of the device, because the notebook is not with me, but I can do this tomorrow if needed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi:

See if this one works--from the 250 G4, which could come with the Pentium N3700...I see the W7 32 bit driver files when I explore the driver folder using 7-Zip.

;--------- Manufacturer and Models Sections ----------------------------------

[Manufacturer]
%MfgName% = Intel, NTx86.6.1

[Intel.NTx86.6.1]
; DisplayName               Section           DeviceId
%TEE_DeviceDesc%=TEE_DDI, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2298

This package provides the Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface (TXE) Driver for the supported notebook models running a supported operating system. The Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface enables the Secure Boot and provides services required for platform security features such as Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel PPT).
