Hi @Starli,
Thanks for contacting the HP Support Forums!

Windows: How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
In the meantime, please try ones of these guides:

Hi Starli,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Have you replaced the battery? If not, I would run The Battery Test.
- HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 7)
- HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 10)
NOTE: The Battery Test checks your system to make sure the battery is functioning properly.
If your battery is under warranty contact HP Phone Support.
What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Open link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.
Hope this answers your question. Thank you for posting!
