I'm fixing an HP notebook running Win8 64-bit Enterprise for a student, this was the last headache.  Windows update tries and fails to install the recommended driver.  I grabbed ver 1.1.5.1 rev a (sp71829.exe) from HP, it failed, not for this OS...

I clicked on "Previous Versions" in the HP list and tried ver 1.0.6.1 released Apr 9, 2016 and it worked.   Try sp59835.exe

Hope this helps you or someone, this one was driving me a bit nutty.
