When I launch HP Recovery Manager to recover my system, the "System Recovery" option is greyed out and has the message "Disabled: Please use Recovery Media to recover your system." I don't have any recovery media (apart from the D:/ 'recovery' drive, if that counts.) What should I do?

Hi

Try this

  1. Click Start , right-click Computer , and then select the Manage option.
  2. In the left panel of the Computer Management window, double-click Storage to expand the options.
click Disk Management to display a list of partitions, also called Volumes .
  3. Right-click the Recovery partition (D:) , and select the Activate Volume option.
Let us know how it goes!

Hi, there is no 'Activate volume option', but there is a 'Reactivate Volume' option that is greyed out, so I'm assuming the volume is already activated.

Hi, jsh:

I am suffering from the same problem that you mentioned above.

I am wondering how you made this fixed.

Did you make it without inserting CD?

Thanks,
