HP Pavilion dv7-3173nr
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
2 Weeks Ago I Bought This Laptop Secondhand From My Cousin's Friend. So That Means No HP Disks. All I Got Was The Laptop & The Charger. The Laptop Was Working Fine & I Decided To Upgrade To Windows 10 But I Couldn't Because My Recovery (Partition) Was Full So I Deleted It On Disk Manager. So When The OS Was Installing My Little Sister Thought It Would Be Funny To Turn Off The Computer So The Installation Was Interrupted. I Had To Order A Windows 7 Recovery Disk On Ebay & Reinstall Windows So I Did But Now The Laptop Does Not Look The Same. Before All That Happened Everything Looked All HD Now Everything Is Blurry & The Icons Are Too Big. I Tried To Reset To Factory Settings But It Won't Let Me. The Only Options It Gives Me Is To Back Up My Things Or Reinstall Windows. I Need Help. Anyone? Please?

Hi,

Try reinstalling the AMD Graphics driver on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45260.exe

When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hello,

Welcome and thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

Well, ebay is not a good option to puchase HP Recovery media from 🙂 There's a high risk for not original Windows, pirated copies, non-genuine instalations, faulty stuff, malware.

However, let's assume the recovery media was legitimate and all is OK (but considered the fact that the display has issues probably due to lack of proper driver or wrong recovery media, it may not be the original one)

Can you confirm which operating system you initially had before the issue started ?

Can you confirm which is the operating system you have now on this PC ?
