Pavilion DV6-7073ca
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Having trouble with HP SimplePass after reinstalling Windows 7 (hard-drive crash resulted in starting from scratch). I've tried several different drivers, got it to install properly, had an error message that my Windows password didn't match. I've uninstalled HP SimplePass and waiting for a solution. I'd rather not pay the $100 for recovery discs just for this one feature as everything else is working at or near factory.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the simple pass software is not working.

 

I’d love to help!

 

Uninstall the simple pass software from the computer and restart the computer. Download and install the software again from the below link.

 

sp71729 HP SimplePass V8.01.46A W7-W10 32/64bit
