Solved!  I just figured out the answer to this, on my own.  What I did was this,  Click on the shift keys and hold them down for a few seconds, both at the same time.  I had to do this a couple of times, but it worked.  I hope this helps, because I personally know how frustrating it is, and many of the techys do not know what we are talking about.  *sigh*

I answered this, but it is on the second page, and this thread was no help, so I am copying my post, and pasting it in hopes that ppl will see it here.  The problem is actually easily solved!

Press the start button and type osk. The on screen keyboard should be returned in the results. Click this. In the bottom left is the NumLock key. Click it and close the on screen keyboard.
