Hi guys

l have just bought a Ho lap top . I set it up with user name and pass word.entered the laptop.turn of went to use again and won't let me in with the same password..tell me to reset but l can't as need sub flash drive for setting pass word..is there a way round this and if so or not what can l do. Thank you..

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Welcome!

 

This is operating system related issue (supposedly Windows issue) and HP cannot help you much with such problems.

Ensure you do not use CAPS LOCK button, ensure the language you type in is the one you used to setup the account password, verify you are typing the correct password. If you use Microsoft related account (email and pass), try with offline and online mode (with or without Internet connection).

Follow the appropriate instruction based on your account type and issue.

 

If this does not help, you will need to reimage the PC (reset to factory default).
