Hi, @HP_2000-2c22DX :

The wireless network adapter has completely disappeared from the device manager.

If it had been working fine before and just disappeared, most likely the wireless network adapter has failed and needs to be replaced.  You can try removing and reseating the wireless card and see if that gets it to show up again.

The hardware ID you posted is for the Realtek ethernet (wired) adapter.

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a Ralink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination adapter.

Here is the service manual...

You can also see if installing the HP connection manager software, restarting the PC, and using that software to turn on the wireless network adapter resolves the problem.

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for the supportednotebook models and operating systems.
