Hi:

The product key is in the BIOS.

You should not need the product key to reactivate windows.

Windows should automatically reactivate after you reinstall windows 10.

Thanks Paul, but I formatted my notebook and now I am not able to reactivate windows because I left my product key.

Prego.

I have zipped up and attached a free utility that should give you the OEM product key in the BIOS.

Unzip and run the application.

If you don't get a product key, then most likely HP installed the wrong motherboard in your PC (one without a Windows product key).

Some models come with FreeDOS, and would have a motherboard with no Windows product key.

You would have to contact HP in Italy to get that matter resolved.
