Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Intel chipset drivers are not available for Windows 8 or 8.1 on hp.com (Intel ME drivers are available in their place, some kind of inside joke, I guess). Given HP's recent corporate reorganization, hp.com may never be updated.

 

I think only an HP insider could answer these questions:

 

1) Did HP modify the Intel chipset drivers as OEMs often do or could I use ones from Intel?

 

2) Is there any difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 chipset drivers?

The chipset drivers is same for Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1.
