I made a bootable USB-stick on this laptop.

This proces went very well and now i have a bootable USB-stick with a boot and a windows-image of the recoverypartition on it.

Now of course i want to test this bootstick but i when i look to change the bootpriority in the bios, i cannot find it.

I tried everything,  esc, delete, all the Fuction keys , but nothing shows an option to choose the USB-stick

Very very annoying.

Someone can help me out pls ?

Regards

Raymond Haenen

Hello,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.

Your computers comes with UEFI and the boot options for UEFI are slightly hidden in the options inside.

If this is not enabled by default, you need to enter the UEFI options and find it inside (note that there should be more options than most consumer notebooks have).

Please, read these 2 articles >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03801890

Insert your USB pen drive. Restart your computer (do RESTART, not shut down and then start).

Keep pressing the Esc button and then you should see F9 option or similar for boot options where you can choose from available boot devices.

* If your USB pen drive is not there, repeat the process but this time choose Esc -> F10 to enter unside the UEFI and dig into the options to choose the bootable options, enable USB, etc...

** If it does not work again - enter the UEFI settings and disable Secure Boot as explained in one of the articles

If you are sure you have tried all and even after that it doesn't work, please ensure your USB is really made bootable, ensure/test it with other images or software.
