Product: Pavilion dv5-1110em
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista
The hdd in the laptop has failed, resulting in boot failure. I have loaded the diagnostics at boot up and the drive has failed all the tests. It is not possible to access the recovery partition. I have purchased a replacement SSD drive, but have no operating system or restoration discs for drivers etc. There is a Windows Vista license sticker on the bottom of the laptop. Is it possible to provide OS and drivers to rebuild the machine with the new drive, please?

Hi,


You need HP recovery discs to factory reset OS. But it is not available from HP or third party online sellers.

Your laptop came with Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 32 bit.

You may try clean install:
