My lappy running on windows 8.1 I recently installed Windows 8.1 now I Axtidanty formated my d drive( RECOVERY) drive so how to go back in windows 8 please help me

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about needing to do a recovery and wanted to help.

Unfortunately, without the Recovery partition, there is no way you can do a recovery in your present situation as that partition is where the recovery files were stored. 

 

What will work is restoring your machine to its original factory condition using HP Recovery Media. This is a set of DVDs and a CD, or USB stick, that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, settings, and applications, reinstall the original OS, drivers, and some HP Utilities. In some cases, you may be able to order a USB stick instead of disks.  You have to order these from HP; they can not be downloaded.

You can look online for Recovery Media starting with the linked paged: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, input your Product name or number. On your Software and Drivers Download page, select your Operating System and and Version. Click "Update".  If HP Recovery Media is available for your machine, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for Order Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click the "+" symbol to expand that entty and click on Order Media for details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

I tried doing that myself weeks ago.

I came to HP's website to purchase recovery media to recover a laptop that came with WIN 8 installed. Unfortunately I wasn't able to complete the order for the media because HP wouldn't move me beyond to the payment confirmation page.

 

So I went to Restore.com and they sent me a set of Disks that restored the laptop to WIN 8.1.

 

Now these disks got the laptop up and running again for me, but something seemed a little odd about it. It added extra partitions. It wouldn't re-install a few programs that were working prior to the recovery, claiming "this is not an authorized HP drive".

 

Luckily for us we had made recovery DVD's, but I couldn't get them to work before.

What I did was use "Partition Wizard", I deleted ALL partitons and then I "WIPED" the hard drive clean. Then I re-booted while holding the F10 button to get into the BIOS. I disabled "SECURE BOOT" and the boot order options ( pushing boot from cd to the top ).

 

Then, I inserted the first Recovery disk ( that we made ) and rebooted.

I wish you could have seen the victory dance I did when I saw this this begin Recovery.
