Reinstalled Vista32 OS, on tech advice, to 'cure' MS update problems. Used recovery disks. (Recovery Partition failed to install for unknown reason) After reinstall MS update still has problems. Any help would be appreciated.
After the reinstall, one update succeeded, then Update Agent failed to update. A number of updates failed (?10?) and a number succeeded. Then a small version, only 1.9 mb, of Service Pack 1 installed and then after Check Udates runs, it calls to reinstall Service Pack 1. Over and over and over.
Thanks, volunteer.

Hi:
See if installing the SP1 and SP2 standalone files gets you going...
You have to install SP1 before you can install SP2.
SP1:

SP2:
