In this video, I will show you how to create a UEFI bootable Windows 10 install USB that will boot using UEFI and allows you to format your drive as a GPT drive rather than MBR so that your Windows 10 install is a UEFI BIOS compatible install and will support hard drives larger than 2.2Tb ...

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

A "System Repair Disk" is a disk you could have made yourself when Win8 was working, that allows you to do basic OS and bootloader repairs.  Now that your PC is NOT working, you don't have that option -- on your PC.

You will need access to a working PC for this step in order to create the media needed to repair your PC boot loader.

Once you have that, please download and create Win10 install media from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10

Yes ... I know that is for Win10, but it uses the same generation boot loader as Win8x, so it can be used to do boot loader repairs for Win8x as well as for Win10.

Boot from the media you created, and follow the directions in this link: http://www.windowswally.com/how-to-fix-error-code-0xc0000185/

You will probably have to run Startup Repair three times for it to fix all the boot loader problems.

When done, your PC should boot OK. If it does not, you have a more serious problem.

Good Luck

Thanks alot for your help and I really do much appreciate that.

I have more questions please

1-can I creat that media on USB or it has to be a DVD?

2-after I can boot, will I be abel to recover my system from an image I had created before and saved it on an external hard drive?

Thanks alot

For sure you can make a disc on both whether it's a usb or a dvd. If you want to use USB then Rufus can be used otherwise for a dvd you can use img burn I'm providing the links. Secondly yes,  you will be able to recover if the image is not curroupted.

Here are the links :--  Rufus:- https://rufus.akeo.ie/downloads/rufus.exe

ImgBurn:--http://download.imgburn.com/SetupImgBurn_2.5.8.0.exe

If you have any problem, reply me.

Thanks again

here what I will do exactly

1-Insert a blank DVD and burn the media creation tool into it. (by the way can I use normal CD not DVD and can I use the original windows burn program?)

2-change the boot system to start booting first from CD

and then everything should be alright

please correct me if I missed something as I'm not that professional in computer issues.
