Normally, you can also see that if you plug a USB mouse, it don't work too.

Finally got this to work, but it was indeed tricky.

USB-STICK PREPARATION

  1. Download Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Drive (SP74851).
    • Let this Softpaq extract files to C:\SWSetup\SP74851, but cancel the installation process.
    • The USB 3.0 drivers are in C:\SWSetup\SP74851\Drivers.
  2. Unpack the Windows boot iso image
  3. In the folder containing the extracted files, open sources\boot.wim with a file archiver which can read+write *.wim files (for example, 7-Zip, which can be used to edit the .wim-archive directly.) There are two subfolders (1 and 2) in boot.wim.
  4. Copy the folder C:\SWSetup\SP74851\Drivers into boot.wim\2.

The iso image is now ready to be transformed to a USB "boot disk", for example with ISO to USB. Use NTFS for the USB file system.

WINDOWS INSTALLATION ON 430 G3

  1. Boot from the USB stick
  2. When prompted for the driver, open the search dialog
  3. Navigate to and highlight X:\Drivers\Win7\x64 and click OK.
  4. Two USB 3.0 drivers should now appear in the listing. Highlight both entries and click on Next

The Windows installation can now continue!
